Dear Duveken, Today I was informed that you were honoured by the Dutch Queen for your commitment in psychoanalysis.On behalf of the EPF executive and all the component societies, I congratulate you with all my heart. You worked with great competence as treasurer on the EPF Executive with three different presidents - David Tuckett, Evelyne Sechaud and Peter Wegner - and your engagement and teaching in the Psychoanalytic Institute of Eastern Europe was of primary importance to spread psychoanalysis in these countries. All who were lucky enough to have the possibility to work with you appreciated you as a person; your intelligence, your seriousness and your sense of humour. We are glad that the support given by Peter Wegner on behalf of the EPF executive and the Council of Presidents contributed to this fruitful outcome. This distinction by the Dutch Queen bears witness to the outstanding work you did as psychoanalyst in the Netherlands and in Europe.
